Ard Media was officially founded in 2012 as a curated multimedia content portal. Our primary niche is multimedia (Irish) Gaeilge and (Scottish) Gàidhlig content, where we have designed language specific search tools for starters.
Trusted, Linked Curated Multimedia Content
~ The TLC promise
What we’ve achieved to date…
Ard-Media has been working since 2009 as ICM (Inniúlacht Cartlainne Meán), creating the R&D solutions necessary to offer the services that Ard-Media now provides. You can read a little more about our history on our website and blog.
Icm & Ard-Media are award-winning, scooping the Ireland eGovernment Award in 2012 for the iTunes U project. You can read and watch more more.
Publishing

As well as housing an archive of multimedia general and broadcast content, ArdMedia also publishes. If you are interested in publishing with a high visibility and trust rating contact us here.
Europeana: what is it? how does it work?

The content on ArdMedia is shared with the Europeana, the European Digital Library. Many of the largest museums, libraries and broadcasters share their content on a shared hub: http://www.europeana.eu.
This makes ArdMedia data interoperable at the item-level with Europeana. The data is more linked, more trusted, more curated and ultimately, more visible to the world.
iTunes U
iTunes U is a rapidly expanding portal for free-to-access educational content on the iTunes Store, provided by universities, schools and cultural institutions around the world. iTunes U courses let teachers give each class a customized learning experience. Teachers can create and manage their course and students can experience it all from the iTunes U app on their device. We built an iTunes U channel: click here to see more.
